Long Valley Sewer Improvement District provides wastewater collection and treatment services to several communities. Their system was dated and had several deficiencies that had the potential to affect the quality of life of the people living in those communities. Funding through the State Revolving Fund allowed JDE to rehabilitate of the existing system by replacing manholes, sewer pipe, spot repairs, a highway boring, a new pump station and grinder manhole. They also constructed two additional total containment lagoons, transfer structures, and demolished existing site structures and lagoon dewatering. These new structures and improvements assisted in maintaining the quality of life by increasing efficiency and preventing the possibility of sanitary sewer overflows.
